1. Overview & Purpose:
️· The ICS614-01 is a clock generator/driver integrated circuit designed for graphics applications (specifically the i752 platform). It generates multiple clock signals from a 27.000 MHz crystal.
️· It's designed for commercial applications and isn't recommended for life support or critical medical devices without additional processing/validation by ICS.
️· ICS reserves the right to change specifications without notice.
2. Key Features & Specifications:
️· Input: 27.000 MHz crystal (fundamental mode, parallel resonant)
️· Outputs: Generates multiple clock signals (13.5MHz, various frequencies depending on select pins)

- Supply Voltage (VDD): 4.5V - 5.5V
- Input High Voltage (X1 pin only): 2.5-5V
- Input Low Voltage (X1 pin only): 1.5-2.5V
️· Accuracy: Crystal accuracy should be 30 ppm or better.

- Short-term jitter: ±150 ps
- One-sigma jitter: 50 ps
️· Duty Cycle: 40%-60% at VDD/2.

️· Decoupling Capacitors: 0.01 µF capacitors are required between VDD and GND, one between pins 4 and 5, and one between pins 13 and 12, placed as close to the chip as possible.
️· Series Termination Resistors: 33 Ω series termination resistors are recommended for each clock output.
️· Crystal Load Capacitance (CL) Calculation: `Crystal caps (pF) = (CL - 6) * 2`. This is used to determine the correct capacitor values to be connected to the crystal pins (X1 and X2). ICS can measure capacitance and provide specific recommendations.
