8.6 Break-Before-Make Delay
The break-before-make delay is a safety feature of the TMUX7413F switch. The TMUX7413F's ON switches first
break the connection before the OFF switches make connection. The time delay between the break and the
make is known as break-before-make delay. Figure 8-6 shows the setup used to measure break-before-make
delay, denoted by the symbol tBBM.

8.7 Turn-On and Turn-Off Time
Turn-on time (tON) is defined as the time taken by the output of the TMUX7411F, TMUX7412F, and TMUX7413F
to rise to a 90% final value after the SELx signal has risen (for NC switches) or fallen (for NO switches) to a 50%
final value. Turn off time (tOFF) is defined as the time taken by the output of the TMUX7411F, TMUX7412F, and
TMUX7413F to fall to a 10% initial value after the SELx signal has fallen (for NC switches) or risen (for NO
switches) to a 50% initial value. Figure 8-7 shows the setup used to measure tON and tOFF.
