InaSEPICconverter,noDCpathexistsbetweentheinput andoutput.Thisisanadvantageovertheboostconverter forapplicationsrequiringtheoutputtobedisconnected fromtheinputsourcewhenthecircuitisinshutdown. Comparedtotheflybackconverter,theSEPICconverter hastheadvantagethatboththepowerMOSFETandthe outputdiodevoltagesareclampedbythecapacitors(CIN, CDCandCOUT),therefore,thereislessvoltageringing acrossthepowerMOSFETandtheoutputdiodes.The SEPICconverterrequiresmuchsmallerinputcapacitors thanthoseoftheflybackconverter.Thisisduetothefact |
