If required, the host can synchronize a VxADC measurement to
the IxADC and VBxADC through alignment of the ADV and
ADIx commands as shown in Figure 80. As the I1ADC and
VB1ADC are recommended to operate continuously to provide
back-to-back conversion results for better filtering and precise
coulomb counting, single-shot battery current, and voltage
measurements must be performed with the second channel
through ADI2. Alternatively, it is always possible to perform
single-shot measurements on the VxADC only and read
synchronous I1ADC and VxADC conversion results. The
following sequence shows the reading of the 1 ms conversion
result of the continuously operating I1ADC that is acquired
closest to the time when the ADV command is sent.
At time t = 0:

RDFLAG to get I1CNTPHA
UNSNAP
At time t = 1 ms:
SNAP
RDI or RDIVB1 to get I1
RDFLAG to get I1CNTPHA

Using the information from I1CNTPHA, the host controller can
decide which I1ADC conversion is acquired closest to the
VxADC measurement.

Figure 81 shows the transfer function of averaging multiple
single-shot conversions over a longer time window. The
example assumes that the host measures a channel once every
5 ms and calculates the average of 20 samples leading to the
average of the last 100 ms. The multi-measurement of all
channels can be done within 2.39 ms, see Table 58, so that it is
